kimara mitchell / art direction                                                                                about, blogmoodboard, insta, pins, contact

I’m a right coaster living on the left coast. My experience includes art direction, design, process and people management, photoshoot direction, and pre-press and production for advertising agencies, design studios, and in-house creative teams. My work has been honored in Academy of Art University's Spring Show, the Western Art Director Club, the American Marketing Association Effies and the San Francisco Addys. Currently I am the Art Director for Banana Republic Factory.

My blog, j'adore couture, is about the intersection of fashion and design. It chronicles personal style, interesting people and places in San Francisco, and broader issues in the fashion world. It has been featured in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and on Elle.com, Design*Sponge, Who What Wear, VanityFair.com, and the Glitter Guide.

When I’m not designing, you can find me museum hopping, running or playing lacrosse, or pouring through a never-ending pile of magazines.
